BP Batam Supports Solder Tin Exports, Boosts Industrial Downstreaming
BP Batam supports the release of solder tin exports produced by PT Solder Tin Andalan Indonesia (STANIA) as an effort to strengthen industrial downstreaming and regional export competitiveness.
Batam Industrial Development Authority (BP) Deputy for Investment and Development Fary Djemy Francis in Batam on Thursday said the export momentum demonstrates that investments in Batam are moving towards the production stage and adding value.
“Batam must position itself as an adaptive, efficient industrial base ready for exports amid geopolitical changes and global supply chain shifts,” he said while attending the export release at Tunas Prima Industrial Estate, Nongsa.
He emphasised that investments entering Batam need to be driven not only at the facility construction stage but up to production, downstreaming, and exports.
The export release was for shipments of solder tin to the Indian market, reflecting the increasing capability of Batam’s industry in penetrating international markets.
BP Batam data shows Batam’s economic growth in the fourth quarter of 2025 reached 7.49% year-on-year, demonstrating the resilience and competitiveness of the area as an industrial and investment centre.
PT Solder Tin Andalan Indonesia is a company engaged in tin downstreaming and is part of strengthening the manufacturing industry structure in Batam, particularly in the electronics sector.
STANIA Director An Sadiano expressed appreciation for BP Batam’s support in developing the downstream industry.
“BP Batam’s support is an important part in creating a conducive business climate so that the company can grow, produce, and contribute to exports,” he said.
BP Batam assesses this export activity as an indicator that incoming investments have been converted into real economic activities, while strengthening Batam’s position in the global supply chain.
In the future, BP Batam will continue to encourage the development of downstream-based industries to increase added value, expand exports, and strengthen the area’s competitiveness amid global competition.
