BP Batam sets 2027 budget ceiling at Rp2.44 trillion

Batam (ANTARA) - The Batam Free Trade Zone Authority (BP Batam), Riau Islands, has set a budget ceiling of Rp2.44 trillion for the 2027 fiscal year to support regional development and infrastructure construction within the Batam Free Trade Zone and Free Port (KPBPB).

The Head of BP Batam, Amsakar Achmad, stated that the 2027 budget ceiling has been fixed at Rp2.44 trillion, which is consistent with the previously established indicative ceiling.

“The BP Batam budget ceiling for 2027 is the same as the indicative ceiling, amounting to Rp2.44 trillion,” Amsakar said in an official statement received in Batam on Tuesday.

Amsakar presented the 2027 work plan and budget during a Hearing Session (RDP) with Commission VI of the Indonesian House of Representatives (DPR RI) on Monday (31/8).

According to him, there is a budget recomposition of Rp131.26 billion, which was previously approved by Commission VI of the DPR RI during the hearing on 17 June 2026, to support new activities and infrastructure development aimed at supporting investment in the Batam Free Trade Zone.

“Overall, the BP Batam budget ceiling for 2027 will be allocated through two main programmes: the Management Support Programme and the Strategic Area Development Programme,” he said.

Meanwhile, the target for Non-Tax State Revenue (PNBP) for BP Batam in 2027 has been set at Rp2.44 trillion, sourced from revenue-generating units and business entities under the authority of BP Batam.

“We highly expect support and guidance from the Leadership and all Members of Commission VI so that the implementation of the 2027 programmes can run optimally and provide the greatest benefits for the development of the Batam Free Trade Zone, the community, and the national economy,” said Amsakar.
