BP Batam launches 'Land Management System' to streamline investment permits
BP Batam has launched an upgraded digital Land Management System (LMS) specifically for land allocation services and to simplify investment permits in the city.
Wakil Kepala BP Batam Li Claudia Chandra stated that the LMS enhancement is part of BP Batam’s commitment to efficiently manage and expedite land administration.
‘This land management through the LMS is also a commitment we have communicated to the President as part of efforts to achieve economic growth targets under the National Medium-Term Development Plan (RPJMN),’ Li Claudia said in an official statement received in Batam on Tuesday.
The LMS is an official permit portal developed by BP Batam to provide information on procedures and requirements for land permit applications in Batam.
Li Claudia explained that BP Batam applies four principles in land management: sustainability, transparency, accountability, and legal certainty.
Under sustainability, land allocation guidelines are based on spatial planning and master plans developed by BP Batam as the managing authority, detailing land use, utilization, and allocation.
Transparency involves publicly accessible land availability information (Regular Land Allocation and Direct Land Allocation) as well as Open Land Allocation announcements for plots with technical documentation and developed land.
Accountability includes evaluation of land allocation requests by a Technical Verification Team comprising multiple units, assessment of evaluation results, and evaluation criteria.
Finally, legal certainty ensures compliance with agrarian laws and BP Batam regulations, protecting all parties’ rights through Land Allocation Decision (KPT) and Land Use Agreement (PPT).
‘Through the LMS, applicants can quickly and transparently access regulations, requirements, and procedures for land permit applications,’ she added.
Li Claudia added that applicants can access the LMS via the website Ims.bpbatam.go.id.
Businesses can find information on land availability, permit services, and other essential details.
Through the online LMS, investors can view available locations for land allocation applications.
However, before submitting an application, businesses must have a registered account on the LMS system.
They then submit applications and upload documents.
Once all steps are completed, the LMS automatically issues Land Allocation Decision (KPT) and Land Use Agreement (PPT).
