BP Batam allocates Rp665.11 billion for infrastructure development

Batam, Riau Islands — The Batam Free Trade Zone Authority (BP Batam) has allocated Rp665.11 billion for infrastructure development in 2027 to support economic activities, investment, and public services in the city.

The Head of BP Batam, Amsakar Achmad, stated that the Rp665.11 billion is earmarked for infrastructure development activities within the Batam Free Trade Zone and Free Port (KPBPB).

“Infrastructure development must provide a tangible impact on the productivity and economic growth of Batam,” he said in an official statement received in Batam on Friday.

According to Amsakar, infrastructure development is directly linked to economic and investment activities in Batam.

BP Batam presented its 2027 Work Plan and Budget (RKA) during a Hearing Meeting (RDP) with Commission VI of the Indonesian House of Representatives (DPR RI) at the DPR RI Building.

BP Batam has proposed a total budget ceiling of Rp2.44 trillion for the 2027 fiscal year, all of which will be sourced from Non-Tax State Revenue (PNBP).

“The focus of the 2027 work plan and budget is to ensure that services become faster, infrastructure improves, and the investment climate provides greater certainty,” said Amsakar.
