Boyong Natapraja Procession and Sedekah Bumi Held in Nganjuk
A number of participants took part in the Boyong Natapraja commemoration and Sedekah Bumi procession in Nganjuk Regency, East Java, on Saturday (6/6/2026). The Boyong Natapraja commemoration, which marks the relocation of the administrative centre from Berbek to Nganjuk in 1880, aims to remind the community of Nganjuk’s history. Simultaneously, the Sedekah Bumi tradition serves as an expression of gratitude for the region’s abundant agricultural yields. During the procession, participants paraded ‘gunungan’—large offerings consisting of various agricultural products—through the streets.
