I disagree with the Association of Indonesian Importers'
chairman Amiruddin Saud who played with politics when he said
that the association would boycott imports from Australia in
retaliation for recent flag burnings.

The chairman made the statement on TV in a patriotic way, as
if he was going to win a war. He should actually try to be
logical. His statement was totally unnecessary since members of
his association would say no to his boycott because business with
Australia keeps going as usual. He was latter disgraced when he
announced that his boycott was postponed indefinitely.

Businesspeople should leave politics alone and work hard to
boost service to consumers and maintain a smooth flow of imported
goods from foreign countries.
