Boy arrested for stealing

YOGYAKARTA: Police arrested here on Monday a 12-year-old
elementary student for an alleged motorcycle theft at the Umbul
Harjo bus station.

Chief of Yogyakarta Police detective unit First Insp. R.
Djarot Agung Riyadi was quoted by Antara as saying on Monday that
the suspect, Agung, was arrested when he was playing football
with his friends.

Djarot said that Agung's accomplice, Giyanto, 25, was also
arrested.

Agung was quoted by the news agency as saying that he was
lured by Giyanto to steal.

Djarot added that preliminary investigation had suggested that
the two had been involved in several other cases of motorcycle
theft.

Police said that they made the arrest after they were tipped
off by Agung's two other accomplices, Kasirun and Kenul, who were
arrested last Saturday. (byg)
