Boy arrested for false bomb threat
Boy arrested for false bomb threat INDONESIA: Police said a first-grade student identified only as Charles was arrested on Friday night after allegedly making the false bomb threat to the Flobamor mall in Kupang, the provincial capital of East Nusa Tenggara.
Police chief Marten Raja told Deutsche Presse-Agentur by telephone on Saturday, saying no bomb was found during the search.
"He was all smiley and happy when we took him in and questioned him," Raja said. "He said he did it just for fun, as that's what he saw happen on TV."
Authorities said they would let the court decide whether to prosecute the boy, who although under age might still be able to be charged, as Indonesian anti-terror laws do not state a minimum age for terrorism acts. -- DPA
