Micky Un's perfect day at the office earned him a chance at a Rp 50 million (US$5,000) bonus at the 3rd Indonesia International Open Tenpin Bowling Championship 2005.

However, the Malaysian will have to split the money if other bowlers also record flawless performances at Jaya Ancol bowling alley in North Jakarta.

"I didn't expect to score a perfect game here. It is a surprise and special for me," said Micky, who now has two perfect games in his career.

The 30 year old scored the magic 300 mark in the morning session with full support from his Pyramid Megalanes club and teammates.

"There weren't many spectators in the morning session, but a perfect game is always special just like winning the tournament," he said.

"The pressure to make a perfect game is always high. I needed to cool down from the pressure in the last frame before bowling."

Word quickly got around about Micky's achievement, and friends and other players came forward to offer him congratulations.

"Now I just expect to reach at least the top three of the tournament in the Open section. Of course I will try to win the championship," he said.

Micky started bowling at 18.

"At that time I just knew I loved bowling although I also played soccer, basketball, badminton and volleyball," he said.

"If you ask me why I chose bowling, frankly I don't know the answer as I just love it."

The major highlights of his career were winning the grade A Malaysia Open in 2003 and grade A Selangor Open last month.

Last year, Micky also played in the Indonesia Open but finished fifth in the Open section.

He is among 200 participants in this year's Indonesia Open.

The tournament will end on Friday, and will be followed by the Indonesian leg of the ABF (Asian Bowling Federation) Tour from Saturday to Sunday.

Last year, Ahmeed Shaheen of Qatar won the Indonesia Open men's event, while Liza Del Rosario of the Philippines won the women's.

In the 2004 Indonesian leg of the ABF Tour, Indonesian Putty Armein won the women's title, while Shaker Al Hassan of the United Arab Emirates triumphed in the men's.
