Jakarta — The Central Board of the Indonesian Association of Muslim Blind People (ITMI) organised the National Tadarus of Braille Qur’an to mark Ramadhan 1447 H. The event took place at Masjid Raya Cipinang Muara, Jakarta, on Saturday, 7 March 2026. The annual tradition was attended by hundreds of visually impaired individuals from ITMI’s regional branches across Indonesia, with many joining online, as part of efforts to eradicate Braille Qur’an illiteracy. Participants read the Qur’an in Braille during the tadarus, underscoring ITMI’s commitment to inclusivity in religious practice. The activity is part of ITMI’s Ramadhan programme for 1447 H.
