BOS Funds Resume Disbursement Ahead of Eid, Ministry of Religious Affairs Allocates Rp 111.9 Billion for Pesantrens

The Directorate of Pesantrens within the Directorate General of Islamic Education of the Ministry of Religious Affairs has begun disbursing Pesantren School Operational Assistance (BOS) funds since 10 March 2026. This acceleration is intended to maintain the continuity of pesantren educational services, particularly ahead of Eid al-Fitr 1447 H/2026 CE.

The BOS Pesantren disbursement targets Formal Early Childhood Education Institutions (PDF), Mu’adalah Educational Units (SPM), and Equivalent Education in Salafiyah Pesantrens (PKPPS) in various regions.

The total budget allocated amounts to Rp 111,938,902,500 for 2,724 pesantren educational units. The breakdown includes 256 institutions at the Ula level, 1,361 at the Wustha level, and 1,107 at the Ulya level.

Director General of Islamic Education at the Ministry of Religious Affairs, Amien Suyitno, emphasised that this accelerated disbursement is a strategic step by the government to ensure that the learning process continues optimally.

“The BOS Pesantren disbursement starting from 10 March represents the state’s presence in supporting pesantren educational operations. We aim to ensure that the learning process runs optimally and basic educational needs are met, especially in the lead-up to Eid,” said Suyitno in a press release received on Thursday (19/3/2026).
