The Pos Lintas Batas Negara (PLBN) Badau in Kapuas Hulu, West Kalimantan, has prepared a Posko Layanan Terpadu Idul Fitri 1447 Hijriyah to ensure the smooth operation of cross-border services during the 2026 Lebaran holiday period. The command post, centred in the Badau Bus Terminal area, involves personnel from various agencies under the CIQS (Customs, Immigration, Quarantine, and Security) framework as an effort to enhance services and monitoring of crossings for people and goods at the Indonesia-Malaysia border.

The head of PLBN Badau, Wendelinus Fanu, stated that the crossing conditions at PLBN Badau are currently monitored as relatively normal. Nevertheless, all personnel remain on alert with duty schedules adjusted through the Posko Layanan Terpadu. “The crossing situation is still running normally, but we are still increasing our readiness. Adjustments to the duty schedules are made to ensure optimal service to the public during the Idul Fitri holiday,” said Wendelinus in a written statement on Friday (20/3/2026).

He added that to anticipate potential increases in cross-border traffic during the Idul Fitri period, cross-border services will continue according to the applicable operating hours, with special adjustments on the day of Idul Fitri itself. “We are committed to providing the best service while prioritising aspects of security, order, and comfort for all border crossers,” he emphasised.

Wendelinus also highlighted the importance of inter-agency coordination to support the effectiveness of the Posko Layanan Terpadu. In this regard, the immigration role is focused on enhancing oversight of border crossers’ compliance, particularly in carrying and using valid travel documents in accordance with regulations.

Meanwhile, the health quarantine unit is strengthening monitoring by conducting health checks on crossers in line with applicable procedures. This effort is taken as a preventive measure to minimise the risk of cross-border disease transmission amid increased public mobility during the Idul Fitri momentum.

He explained that the Posko Layanan Terpadu Idul Fitri 1447 Hijriah at PLBN Badau, managed by the Indonesian National Border Management Agency (BNPP), reaffirms its commitment to providing prime, safe, and humane border crossing services during the 2026 Lebaran holiday period.
