Border area to have integrated office

ATAMBUA, East Nusa Tenggara: The government is planning to
build an integrated office in Atambua, East Nusa Tenggara (NTT)
to manage immigration affairs, customs, and security affairs.

Local military chief Lt. Col. Ganip Warsito said on Wednesday
that some officials from the Defense Ministry had inspected the
regency to examine security conditions along Indonesia-East Timor
borders.

He did not say when the visit took place.

The delegation, headed by Lt. Col. Yan Piter, a staff member
of the Defense Ministry's political and security division,
observed activities in border areas, including immigration
affairs, customs, and security affairs at separate offices. -- Antara
