Jakarta, VIVA – PT Bursa Efek Indonesia (IDX) is implementing the Stock Liquidity Provider (LP) programme to strengthen the quality and liquidity of stock trading, while increasing investment attractiveness through more liquid, efficient, and transparent trading.

Acting President Director of IDX, Jeffrey Hendrik, expressed hope that this programme will support more efficient trading by ensuring more consistent buy and sell quotations in the market provided by the Stock LPs. “This will facilitate investors in transacting and support a more optimal price discovery process,” Jeffrey stated in a press release on Monday, 8 June 2026.

The IDX noted that the response and interest from Broker Members (AB) towards the Stock LP programme show positive development. To date, two securities firms have provided quotations for the Stock LP programme: PT Phintraco Sekuritas since 20 April 2026, and PT Mandiri Sekuritas on 4 May 2026.

“The increase in participation from Broker Members demonstrates the growing interest of industry players in the Stock LP programme, as well as a shared commitment to supporting the improvement of trading quality and liquidity on the Exchange,” said Jeffrey.

Looking ahead, the IDX hopes that the number of Broker Members joining this programme will continue to grow, alongside increasing understanding and utilisation of the Stock LP scheme in the market.

The initial quotations by Phintraco Sekuritas were conducted for five stocks: PT Gudang Garam Tbk (GGRM), PT Pabrik Kertas Tjiwi Kimia Tbk (TKIM), PT Trans Power Marine Tbk (TPMA), PT Asuransi Tugu Pratting Indonesia Tbk (TUGU), and PT Wintermar Offshore Marine Tbk (WINS).

The IDX noted that in the one-week period before and after implementation, these stocks showed an increase in average daily transaction values, with percentage increases ranging between 25.98% and 119.44%. These results demonstrate the potential of the Stock LP programme to boost trading activity and market liquidity.

“We observe that Stock LP activities have a positive impact on improving trading quality and stock liquidity in the market, which indirectly strengthens investor confidence in the Indonesian capital market,” he added.

The President Director of Phintraco Sekuritas, Ferawati, added that their participation in the Stock LP programme is part of the company’s commitment to playing a more strategic role in developing the quality and depth of the Indonesian capital market. She noted that since the beginning of implementation, the development of the Stock LP programme has shown a positive direction in strengthening the trading structure on the Exchange.
