Boosting the Economy, Central Java and Special Region of Yogyakarta Customs Strengthens Customs Facilities for Hundreds of Companies
Semarang (10/04) – The Regional Office (Kanwil) of Customs for Central Java and the Special Region of Yogyakarta (Jateng DIY) continues to demonstrate its commitment to accelerating regional economic growth. As of 31 March 2026, Customs Jateng DIY has recorded significant growth in the provision of customs facilities for export-oriented companies.
The Head of Kanwil Customs Jateng DIY, Agus Yulianto, stated that the provision of these facilities is a strategic step by the government to attract investment and create extensive employment opportunities.
“We continue to strive to provide ease for industries to have high competitiveness in the international market. By the end of March, the total investment value from companies receiving these facilities has reached a very encouraging figure,” said Agus Yulianto in Semarang on Friday (10/4).
To date, 340 companies in the Jateng DIY region have utilised the Bonded Storage Facility (TPB). The economic impact is profoundly felt, with a cumulative investment value of Rp67.73 trillion. Beyond the figures, this facility has successfully absorbed 636,617 workers.
In the first quarter of 2026, Customs Jateng DIY also designated three new companies as recipients of TPB facilities, namely:
PT Maximos Supply Chain Indonesia (Bonded Logistics Centre).
PT Carku Daya Indonesia (Battery Industry).
PT Mingbao Lianchuang International (Footwear Industry).
Meanwhile, the Import Ease for Export Purposes (KITE) facility also shows a positive trend. Currently, 46 companies are utilising this facility, broken down as: 38 KITE Exemption companies, 7 KITE Refund companies, and 1 company receiving both.
This KITE sector records an investment value of Rp8.37 trillion and contributes to the absorption of 38,555 workers. In 2026 itself, one new company has joined the KITE scheme, namely PT Guna Citra Kartika.
Agus emphasised that Customs Jateng DIY will continue to improve the quality of services and supervision to ensure a conducive investment climate in Central Java and Yogyakarta for business actors.
“We are committed to providing maximum service and bureaucratic ease so that these customs facilities truly become the engine of regional economic growth. With ongoing support, we are optimistic that this investment growth will continue to increase, ultimately providing real impacts for community welfare through the creation of new jobs in the Jateng DIY region,” Agus concluded.
