Boosting Service Quality, Pelita Air Ensures Consistent Operational Reliability
Pelita Air is regarded as being consistent in maintaining operational reliability and service quality for its customers. This is reflected in news sentiment over the past year.
Based on research by The Iconomics, this airline, which is a subsidiary of PT Pertamina (Persero), recorded a positive sentiment of 81%. This achievement led Pelita Air to receive the Top SOE Subsidiaries Award 2026 in the Transport category from The Iconomics.
In addition to positive sentiment, the same research noted that Pelita Air’s ‘Related News’ level reached 95.8%. This figure indicates that news coverage substantively discussed Pelita Air’s activities, rather than merely mentioning the company’s name.
“For us, this achievement is not just about how Pelita Air is reported, but about how the Company’s performance and services are reflected in media coverage. We appreciate the press for continuously monitoring Pelita Air’s journey and providing space for the public to learn about the various efforts we make to provide reliable flight services,” said the President Director of Pelita Air, Faik Fahmi, as quoted in a statement on Thursday, 17 September 2026.
It was explained that news regarding Pelita Air during the research period covered various aspects of the Company’s activities and performance, ranging from operational reliability and flight punctuality to the development of connectivity and efforts to improve customer service quality.
These achievements in news coverage complement the recognition of Pelita Air’s operational performance. On 2 September 2026, Pelita Air once again received the Best On-Time Performance 2026 award from the Directorate General of Civil Aviation, Ministry of Transportation, marking its second consecutive achievement.
“Reputation is built from what we truly do and what customers experience. Therefore, we will continue to maintain operational reliability and consistently improve service quality. Public trust is a responsibility that we must continue to uphold,” added Faik.
The Top SOE Subsidiaries Award 2026 was presented by The Iconomics based on media monitoring studies of news regarding State-Owned Enterprises (BUMN) and their subsidiaries. In that study, the ‘Related News’ and ‘Sentiment Analysis’ aspects were part of the indicators used for assessment.
This award was received by Pelita Air ahead of National Transportation Day 2026, celebrated every 17 September with the theme “Connecting Indonesia for a More Advanced Future”.
