PT Bank Rakyat Indonesia (Persero) Tbk or BRI continues to accelerate the distribution of People’s Business Credit (KUR) as part of implementing Asta Cita to drive national economic growth. By the end of February 2026, BRI has disbursed KUR amounting to Rp31.42 trillion, equivalent to 17.46% of BRI’s total 2026 allocation of Rp180 trillion set by the Government. This disbursement has reached 643,000 MSME debtors throughout Indonesia.

Not only in terms of disbursement volume, BRI also ensures that KUR is distributed productively to strategic sectors that play a role in strengthening the real sector. Based on economic sectors, BRI’s KUR disbursement is dominated by the production sector, including agriculture, fisheries, processing industries, and other services, with a portion reaching 64.13% of total disbursements.

Among these sectors, agriculture is the largest contributor with financing value reaching Rp13.25 trillion or equivalent to 42.18% of the total KUR disbursed by BRI, reflecting the company’s support for food security.

BRI President Director Hery Gunardi stated that BRI consistently plays a role in supporting the government’s priority agenda, particularly in strengthening the MSME sector which contributes to job creation and national economic growth.

“BRI will continue to walk hand in hand with MSMEs as the main foundation of the national economy. Therefore, KUR disbursement is not only focused on financing, but also accompanied by ongoing mentoring and empowerment. Thus, business actors can increase their capacity, expand their business scale, and ultimately provide real impact on improving community welfare,” said Hery.

This commitment is reflected in the achievement of BRI KUR debtors who have successfully upgraded, numbering 213,000 KUR debtors or equivalent to 22.23% of the 2026 target of 962,000 debtors.

Furthermore, Hery explained that as Indonesia’s largest KUR distributing bank, BRI ensures that KUR provision is carried out prudently, transparently, and accountably, in accordance with applicable regulations and can be held accountable. This is because KUR is credit that is 100% sourced from bank funds, or using banking funds derived from public fund collection, so its credit quality must be well maintained.
