The Kemayoran Complex Management Centre (PPK Kemayoran) has officially held its first padel tournament as part of the corporation’s 41st anniversary celebrations. Carrying the slogan ‘One Team One Goal’, the competition is projected to be an integration platform to strengthen strategic collaboration with dozens of corporate partners in the Central Jakarta area. The modern racket sport competition took place at the House of Mayor (HOM) Padel Court, Kemayoran, on Saturday (13/6/2026). The tournament was attended by dozens of delegations divided into 28 teams in the Men’s Doubles category and 20 teams in the Women’s Doubles category. Director of Area Empowerment at PPK Kemayoran, Yudi Sugara, explained that the institution’s anniversary was deliberately packaged through physical activity. This step aims to align long-term visions in managing state assets in the heart of the capital. Cross-sector partners present are expected to work in parallel towards a single goal: transforming the Kemayoran Area into a clean, bright, safe, and green environment-based residential and business cluster. ‘This padel tournament is not just a sporting event, but also a means to strengthen togetherness and reinforce the spirit of collaboration. This theme reflects our hope that all stakeholders and partners can continue to synergise,’ said Yudi in a statement on Sunday (14/6/2026). To optimise inter-corporate interaction, the organising committee combined the main matches with a sports education scheme. These activities were packaged in the form of an exclusive one-hour Coaching Clinic with professional athletes, Fun Games, Open Play with Gold Player, and musical entertainment attractions. Management also provided a stimulus in the form of a total cash prize worth Rp30,000,000 and door prizes worth Rp35,000,000 for participating partners. HOM Padel Court Principal, Bryan Hartanto, expressed support for PPK Kemayoran’s initiative to embrace padel as a new attraction for urban communities. ‘This tournament shows that Kemayoran has great potential to become an attractive sports and recreation destination for the public, in addition to its status as a national business centre,’ said Bryan. This step is also aligned with the sustainable public facility expansion roadmap launched by PPK Kemayoran. In addition to providing a modern padel court, the management body has previously optimised an integrated jogging track area and revitalised the Kemayoran Indah Golf course to boost the sport tourism sector in Jakarta.
