The Bontang City Government held a High Level Meeting for the Regional Digitalisation Acceleration and Expansion Team (TP2DD) for 2026 at the Mayor’s Official Residence Hall on Thursday, 23 July 2026. The event served as a momentum to evaluate the implementation of the first semester of Regional Government Transaction Electronification (ETPD) while strengthening cross-sector synergy to drive digital transformation, enhance public service quality, and optimise regional revenue. Acting Regional Secretary of Bontang City, Akhmad Suharto, explained the progress of the regional government transaction electronification implementation and the performance of TP2DD. He stated that transaction digitalisation has continued to show a positive trend since 2022 through to the first semester of 2026. Based on the achievements of the first semester of 2026, regional tax transactions have been realised digitally at 83.4 per cent, while 9.4 per cent still use a semi-digital system. As for regional levies, digital transactions have reached 95.3 per cent, with 4.7 per cent still conducted semi-digitally. Suharto also conveyed that the target for regional tax and levy revenue in 2026 is Rp355,730,725,625, with realisation up to the first semester reaching Rp182,462,519,475.93. ‘This development demonstrates the Bontang City Government’s commitment to accelerating digital transformation, particularly in the regional revenue sector,’ he said. Bontang Mayor Neni Moerniaeni stressed that strengthening the TP2DD synergy and the first semester ETPD evaluation are important steps to ensure that every digital innovation truly provides tangible benefits to the community. ‘Through strengthening the TP2DD synergy and the first semester evaluation of regional government transaction electronification, we want to ensure that every digital innovation truly delivers increasingly easy services, more transparent governance, and is able to optimise regional revenue for the greatest welfare of the people of Bontang City,’ said Neni. According to her, the evaluation carried out not only aims to measure the achievement of the Regional Government Transaction Electronification Index (IETPD), but also serves as a means to identify various challenges, strengthen coordination among stakeholders, and formulate strategic steps to improve the quality of public services through the use of digital technology. Neni explained that the electronification of regional government transactions brings enormous benefits, ranging from increasing transparency and accountability of regional financial management, minimising potential revenue leakage, accelerating payment processes, improving service efficiency, expanding non-cash payment access, to supporting data-based decision making. However, she reminded that the success of digitalisation is not only measured by the availability of applications, QRIS, EDC machines, or other electronic payment channels. ‘What is more important is building a shared commitment, strengthening synergy among regional apparatuses, and ensuring that all these innovations are truly utilised by the community,’ she stressed. Neni also invited all TP2DD members to continue strengthening collaboration with Bank Indonesia, Bankaltimtara, vertical agencies, business actors, and all stakeholders. According to her, strong synergy will be the foundation for accelerating the implementation of regional government transaction electronification while increasing public trust in government services. As a symbol of the commencement of the Bontang City TP2DD High Level Meeting 2026, Neni Moerniaeni symbolically handed over digital payment devices to three regional apparatus organisations (OPD), namely the Cooperatives, Micro Enterprises, Industry and Trade Office (DKUMPP), the Transportation Office, and the Housing, Settlement Areas and Land Office (Perkim). The handover represents the Bontang City Government’s commitment to expanding the implementation of non-cash transactions across various public service sectors, while supporting the acceleration of more effective, transparent, and accountable regional government transaction electronification.
