Bontang BNNK Commemorates 2026 International Anti-Narcotics Day

The National Narcotics Agency (BNN) of Bontang City successfully held a thanksgiving event for the peak commemoration of the 2026 International Anti-Narcotics Day (HANI) with the theme ‘Building a Healthy, Intelligent, and Strong Generation Through the Ananda Bersinar Movement Towards a Golden Indonesia 2045’, at Bontang Nusantara Resto on Thursday, 23 July 2026. This activity served as an important momentum for all regional elements to strengthen their commitment to the war against drugs. The commemoration was the culmination of a long series of concrete actions by the Bontang City BNN that had begun since the end of June. The Bontang City Government affirmed its full support for this movement. Head of the Bontang City National Unity and Politics Agency (Bakesbangpol), Deddy Haryanto, expressed appreciation for the BNNK’s consistency in maintaining the city’s conduciveness from the threat of illicit substances. In his speech, Deddy Haryanto emphasised that the synergy between the Bontang City Government and the BNNK is now increasingly solid, especially with the legal umbrella of Bontang City Regional Regulation Number 4 of 2023 concerning the Facilitation of Prevention, Eradication, Abuse, and Illicit Trafficking of Narcotics (P4GN). Deddy asserted that his party would ensure Bontang City is clean from narcotics abuse. ‘The Bontang City Government will not give space for drug trafficking. Through this 2026 HANI momentum, we strengthen collaboration to protect the young generation of Bontang so they grow into healthy and intelligent human resources towards a Golden Indonesia 2045,’ said Deddy. Meanwhile, Head of the Bontang City BNN, Lulyana Ramdhani, presented various achievements resulting from the series of 2026 HANI activities. These ranged from the P4GN Campaign ‘Ananda Beraksi’ in public spaces, blood donation drives, to massive education through podcasts with Anti-Drug Ambassadors. Furthermore, Lulyana explained that in 2026, the Bontang BNNK is focusing on integrated interventions in 8 priority locations. This focus includes strengthening the Bersinar (Clean from Drugs) Villages in Loktuan and Tanjung Laut Indah, forming a P4GN Task Force at the Fire Department, early detection in schools, and periodic urine testing within vital national objects such as PT Pupuk Kaltim and private industries.
