Bonit, Sulistyo go to Futures final

JAKARTA (JP): Indonesian veteran pair Bonit Wiryawan and Sulistyo Wibowo have marched on to the final of the US$15,000 Indonesia Futures-2 at Kemayoran Tennis Center, Central Jakarta.

Bonit and Sulistyo, former national players, beat South Korean pair Chung Hee-seok and Chung Hee-sung 6-3, 6-4 in the semifinal on Saturday.

The Indonesians will challenge third seeds Frantisek Cermak of the Czech Republic and Roman Kukal of Slovakia, who upset top seeds Zbynek Mlynarik of Austria and Vladimir Platenik of Slovakia in straight sets 6-3, 6-4.

An all-South Korean final will take place in the singles event, when Kwon Oh-hee plays fellow countryman Yoon Yong-il.

Kwon beat Cermak 1-6, 7-6 (7-6), 6-3 in Saturday's semis while Yoon outclassed Jarkko Nieminen of Finland 7-5, 7-5. (ivy)
