Senior political observer Boni Hargens has assessed that the concept of Predictiveness, Responsibility, and Fair Transparency, known as PRESISI, is driving a transformation in the performance and work culture of the Indonesian National Police (Polri). Boni stated that the vision championed by Police Chief General Listyo Sigit Prabowo serves as a blueprint for comprehensive change tailored to contemporary challenges. “The Polri PRESISI vision is a grand design for comprehensive change adapted to the reality of contemporary challenges,” Boni said during a book launch in Jakarta on Wednesday (24/6), according to a statement received on Thursday. According to him, PRESISI emerged amidst increasing critical public pressure on Polri and demands for police institutional reform. Boni explained that the predictive element is realised through the use of data analysis and information technology to detect potential security disturbances early, before they escalate. “Polri is present before problems develop,” he said. Meanwhile, fair transparency is applied to guarantee accountability in legal actions, maintain public trust, and uphold justice. Boni stated that the transformation carried out by the Police Chief also includes organisational strengthening, operations, public service, and internal oversight. “These four main pillars form the foundation for a comprehensive, structured, and mutually reinforcing change within the Polri institution,” he said.
