Bomb threat embarrasses RI
Bomb threat embarrasses RI
From Bisnis Indonesia
The recent bomb threat at the Dutch Embassy in Jakarta, should
really embarrass Indonesia. Even more so if the bomb had actually
existed.
The police department should find out who made the bomb threat
and hunt that person down. They would be fully supported by the
public in their efforts. The public cannot help but to speculate
that the caller must have been a member of the Ecstasy syndicate
because a Garuda pilot, Moh. Said, was arrested in Holland for
having 8,000 Ecstasy pills in his possession. He is under
investigation in that country.
The Ecstasy syndicate is, of course, afraid that Moh. Said
will reveal details of their operation to the Dutch police. The
situation would be even worse for the traffickers if the case
were to be tried in the Netherlands. The identity of the
syndicate members would become known, which, would jeopardize
their operations. And Indonesian security personnel would be
better able to bring Ecstasy the smugglers and traffickers to
justice.
