Bomb in a parcel

Bomb in a parcel

Recently there was shocking news in Tanjung Balai, North Sumatra. An explosive parcel went off in a car on March 6, at 10 a.m., and wounded Rustam Effendy Panjaitan, 33. The parcel contained a bomb, which looked like a tape recorder. It exploded when the victim pressed a particular button.

The injured person was taken to Adam Malik Hospital in Medan because the hospital we have here in this town said it could not handle the patient due to inadequate equipment.

There should have been more media coverage about this, which shows that the peace we have been maintaining for so long is being undermined. Usually we have deep concern over the breaking of peace in foreign countries and take pity on them. There should also be deep concern about the bomb explosion in Tanjung Balai among our law enforcers and the public.

We should take a lesson from this incident and be careful.
