Bomb hoax in hospital, mall

JAKARTA (JP): The National Police bomb squad (Gegana) combed Pondok Indah Mall in South Jakarta and Honoris Tangerang Hospital for bombs on Saturday, following bomb threats made by anonymous callers.

According to city police records, Saturday's first bomb hoax occurred at Pondok Indah Mall, when Asep, 30, a mall security guard, received an anonymous phone call at 11 a.m.

"The bomb squad arrived and combed the place. Nothing was found," City Police spokesman Sr. Comr. Anton Bachrul Alam said on Sunday.

The next bomb hoax occurred at Honoris Tangerang Hospital, when receptionist Herawati, 28, received a call at 12:40 p.m. on Saturday. The caller said that within 45 minutes, a bomb would explode.
