Bomb Blast Rocks Monaco, Targets Ukrainian-Born Oligarch

A homemade bomb exploded in Monaco, targeting an oligarch originally from Ukraine. The blast occurred on Monday evening, leaving two people with life-threatening injuries. Police vehicles were seen blocking access near the site of the explosion. Citing the principality’s attorney general, the explosive device was described as a ‘parcel bomb’. Prince Albert of Monaco condemned the attack as a ‘disgusting act’. The target was Vadym Yermolaiev, a major real estate developer from Dnipro. He left Ukraine several years ago, renounced his Ukrainian citizenship, and became a citizen of Cyprus. Yermolaiev was sanctioned by Ukraine in December 2023.
