Bogus officials in IBRA scam

Recently, some unidentified people have claimed, as part of a scam, to be senior officials of the Indonesian Bank Restructuring Agency (IBRA). They have telephoned people or institutions, asking them to give them an amount of money, saying that these funds are needed to pay for certain activities.

IBRA has not assigned any officers to request sums of money as these irresponsible people have done. Any parties, such as debtors, financial institutions or other enterprises, are called upon to ignore any such call and immediately contact the Public Relations Group of IBRA's Communications Division on phone number 5772776 or fax number 5771914.
