Bogowonto Train Service Schedule and Fares Between Jakarta's Pasar Senen and Yogyakarta's Lempuyangan Stations

The Bogowonto train service operates between Jakarta and Yogyakarta via Pasar Senen Station and Lempuyangan Station in Yogyakarta. Passengers are advised to check the schedule and fares to avoid missing their journey.

In January-April 2026, Bogowonto train passenger numbers rose to 91,892, an increase from 89,236 during the same period in 2026.

“The Bogowonto train serves diverse travel needs, including tourism, education, family visits, and business trips,” said KAI’s Vice President of Corporate Communications, Anne Purba, in a statement on Sunday, 24 May 2026.

Anne noted that the growth in Bogowonto passengers this year reflects public interest in comfortable train travel that directly connects to city centres.

The train journey passes through various cities with distinct characteristics, from Cirebon’s coastal areas, Banyumas’ agricultural routes, to the mountainous and rice field landscapes of western Yogyakarta.

Entering Kutoarjo, Kebumen, and Purwokerto, expansive rice fields, rivers, and hills form part of the journey experience.

Conversely, departing from Lempuyangan Station in Yogyakarta, the Bogowonto train is scheduled to leave at 8:15 AM WIB and arrive at Pasar Senen Station at 3:54 PM WIB.

The new train set has reduced travel time between Lempuyangan and Pasar Senen stations, with the journey now taking approximately seven hours and 42 minutes.

Currently, Bogowonto train tickets start at Rp 390,000 for economy class and Rp 590,000 for executive class.
