Bogor's Car Free Day This Week Cancelled, Replaced by Ramadhan Fest 2026

BOGOR, KOMPAS.com – The Bogor Regency Government has cancelled Car Free Day (CFD) activities in the Cibinong area, Bogor, West Java, on Sunday 8 March 2026. No CFD activities, usually held every Sunday on Jalan Tegar Beriman from 06:00 to 09:00 WIB, will take place. Typically, for CFD, the road is fully closed to motor vehicles and the public uses the space for exercise, family recreation, and community activities. The event is held in the Area Tegar Beriman area, specifically in front of the lobby of the Tegar Beriman Building, Bogor Regency. Ramadhan Fest 2026 runs from 26 February to 4 March 2026 and serves as a hub of religious and entertainment activities during the holy month. Although CFD is cancelled, traffic arrangements around the Tegar Beriman area remain a concern for the local government. With CFD cancelled this Sunday, traffic around Jalan Tegar Beriman returns to normal, with no road closures or detours. When CFD is held, traffic management is usually implemented to maintain smooth traffic around Cibinong. Vehicles from Bojonggede going to Jakarta are usually diverted via Cikaret. Meanwhile traffic from Jalan Raya Jakarta–Bogor heading to Bojonggede is directed via Cikaret or Karadenan. Vehicles from the Pakansari area heading to Jalan Raya Jakarta–Bogor are usually diverted via Kandang Roda.
