Visitors to Bogor Zoological Museum can now enjoy engaging narratives about biodiversity through advanced technology.

Named Immerzoa, this immersive space invites museum visitors to enhance their tourism experience, going beyond simply viewing rare animal collections.

“Immerzoa combines visual technology with narrative art. Through Immerzoa, education about the wealth of the archipelago’s fauna is no longer merely silent artefacts, but a living emotional experience brought back to life before visitors’ eyes,” said Managing Director of PT Mitra Natura Raya, Marga Anggrianto, in an official statement on Wednesday (11/3/2026).

Visitors only need to purchase a standard Bogor Zoological Museum ticket priced at 15,500 to 25,500 rupiah per person to access the Immerzoa area.

The Bogor Zoological Museum is currently open Monday to Friday from 08:00 to 16:00 WIB, and Saturday, Sunday and public holidays from 07:00 to 16:00 WIB.

A single performance session at Immerzoa lasts 20 minutes and takes visitors through three emotional stages. Beginning with an awareness of Earth’s vastness as a shared home, progressing through Indonesia’s fauna richness spanning from Wallace’s line to Weber’s line, and culminating in confronting the reality of ecological crises and threats to animal habitats.

Event Department Manager Rizki Ramadhan stated that the combination of narrative art, visual technology, and environmental education offers not only a cinematic experience but is also designed as an aesthetic spot that attracts social media attention.

“This innovation affirms the commitment of the Botanical Garden’s management to present modern, inspirational programmes and products that foster care for the preservation of Indonesia’s fauna,” said Rizki.

The installation provides a new experience in enjoying literacy, where physical books are combined with living cinematic technology.

Each page of a book that is opened triggers digital animations that appear automatically over the paper.
