Bogor Woman Murder Case: Timeline, Motive and Dramatic Arrest of Suspect

Bogor City Police revealed that the suspect killed a woman identified as AA (25) by dumping her from the Yasmin Toll Flyover in Bogor after she was still moving following being strangled inside the car. On Monday, Bogor City Police Chief Kombes Pol Rio Wahyu Anggoro stated that the suspect, identified as MF (26), was arrested within 24 hours after the victim’s body was found on KH Sholeh Iskandar Street in Tanahsareal, Bogor. “According to the suspect’s confession, the victim was still moving, which led to the incident captured on video where she was thrown from the toll road,” Rio said. He said the case began when the victim and suspect, former high school friends, reconnected via social media direct messages after a long period of no contact. They met on 2 May 2026, during which the victim reportedly made comments about the suspect’s family, causing him to harbour resentment. Bogor City Police’s Criminal Investigation Unit Chief AKP Bagus Azi Lesmana Putra said the suspect lured the victim for another meeting on 22 May under the pretence of having coffee in Kemang, Bogor Regency. Afterward, the victim was taken for a meal before being driven around in her own Toyota Yaris to a secluded area near Pakansari Stadium. “The execution took place inside the car,” Azi said. The suspect, who had prepared a machete and a tie, strangled the victim with a blue tie until she lost consciousness. Azi stated the machete was not used as the victim had already fainted from the strangling. “The machete was intended for use if there was resistance,” he added. After the victim lost consciousness, the suspect drove around for several hours, unsure of where to take her. While passing through the Yasmin area and KH Sholeh Iskandar Street, the suspect saw the toll road was deserted and decided to dump her from the flyover. “He was confused. She was already weak, but he didn’t know where to take her. The idea came to him to dump her below,” Azi said. The dumping was captured by CCTV cameras around the Yasmin Toll Flyover.
