Bogor Toll Road Overpass Murder: Woman Strangled and Body Dumped
Police have uncovered the murder and disposal of a woman identified as AA (25) from the Bogor Toll Road (BORR) overpass. A man named M Febryan (MF), also known as Ambon (26), has been arrested. Interrogations revealed that the suspect killed the victim inside her own car.
“The execution took place inside the car. The act occurred in the Pakansari area near Pakansari Stadium. The victim was strangled with a tie brought by the suspect,” said Senior Commissioner Rio Wahyu Anggoro, Chief of Bogor City Police Department, during a press conference on Monday (25/5).
The suspect had prepared a tie and a machete to kill the victim. He then threw the weakened victim from the BORR toll overpass onto Sholeh Iskandar Road (Sholis) in Bogor City.
Rio stated the suspect drove around with the unconscious victim before entering the BORR toll overpass, where he then threw her off onto Sholis Road.
“After strangling her and rendering her unconscious, the suspect circled the area while the victim remained unconscious. According to the suspect’s statement, the victim moved when they entered the Yasmin or Sholeh Iskandar area,” Rio said.
The moment the victim’s body fell from the BORR toll overpass was captured on CCTV and went viral on social media. Following this, Febryan fled with the victim’s car.
“The incident, as shown in the video, involved throwing the victim from the toll road down below. We consider this an extremely brutal act. The victim fell below, and the suspect then drove the car towards Garut,” he added.
Assistant Commissioner Bagus Azi Lesmana of Bogor City Police’s Criminal Investigation Unit added that the suspect had prepared a machete for the murder, intending to use it if the victim resisted.
“The machete was not used, as the tie—specifically a blue one—sufficed to strangle the victim, who had already lost consciousness. The machete was intended for use should there have been resistance,” Azi said.
AA’s body was found dead on Sholeh Iskandar Road in Tanah Sareal District, Bogor City, on Saturday, 23 May at approximately 1:15am WIB. The victim had last been seen saying goodbye to friends for coffee on Friday, 22 May around 10pm.
The victim is suspected to have been killed by suspect M Febryan. Police arrested Febryan after he fled with the victim’s car, which overturned during his escape from officers.
Motive: Grudge
The victim and suspect were former high school friends who reconnected. During their first meeting, the suspect claimed to have been upset by the victim’s comments about his parents’ condition.
“On 2 May 2026, they met at Air Mancur, where the victim asked the suspect about his parents’ well-being. According to the suspect’s interrogation, he replied, ‘I no longer have parents,’ leading to remarks that deeply upset him,” said Senior Commissioner Rio.
Citing a grudge, the suspect then planned a second meeting with the intent to kill the victim, bringing a machete and a blue tie in his bag.
“Due to deep-seated resentment, the suspect arranged a second meeting two weeks later on Friday, 22 May. During this encounter, the victim was unaware the suspect had prepared the weapons,” Rio said.
