Bogor Station Suddenly Crowded, Passengers Diverted to Alternative Route After Platforms 6-8 Closed

BOGOR, KOMPAS.com — Train passengers at Bogor Station are crowding the station’s interior areas. The congestion is visible from the West Gate (Jalan Mayor Oking) leading towards platforms 2 to 5. Passenger tap in/out access is still via the East Gate (from Bogor City Square) to enter the station. “This way, sir, there’s a platform closure,” said one officer while pointing to the new alternative route. The main access road to the platforms is blocked with white boards and a banner reading, “Apologies for the inconvenience. Under Construction, Platform and Track Extension Work for 6, 7, and 8 at Bogor Station in the Jakarta Operational Area 1.” Around seven officers are stationed at the new access point, waving hands to instruct passengers to quicken their pace. “Take it slow, sir, stick to the right side on track 4 to avoid colliding with alighting passengers,” said one officer. “This is to Jakarta Kota, right?” asked a passenger while pointing to the train on track 4. “Yes, ma’am, to Jakarta,” the officer replied. “I knew from the app, but didn’t expect the station to be this packed due to the closure,” said Nabila when met by Kompas.com at Bogor Station on Wednesday (15/4/2026). According to her, even without the platform closure, Bogor Station is often crowded with passengers.
