The pedestrian footbridge (JPO) in front of Bogor Station on Jalan Kapten Muslihat will be demolished, and the city administration will implement traffic diversions during the process. The demolition is scheduled to begin tonight, with road closures from midnight to 4 a.m. WIB, according to Ridwan, Head of Traffic at the Bogor City Transportation Agency. The work will take place from Friday (26/6) until Thursday (2/7), with total road closures in effect for four hours each night. Traffic will be diverted at several points, including Jalan Paledang, Jalan Kapten Muslihat, and Jalan Mayor Oking. Vehicles from Jalan Juanda heading towards Jembatan Merah will be redirected straight to Jalan Jenderal Sudirman, while those from Jembatan Merah towards Jalan Juanda will be diverted to Jalan Merdeka. No vehicles will be allowed to pass under the footbridge during the demolition due to safety concerns, as the bridge is made of concrete. The JPO has been closed since 2025 after a structural assessment by the Directorate General of Highways at the Ministry of Public Works declared it unfit for use. Since the closure, KRL passengers have been crossing Jalan Kapten Muslihat via a pelican crossing.
