Bogor School Revitalisation: Minister Encourages Students to Study Harder

Bogor (ANTARA) - Coordinating Minister for Human Development and Culture Pratikno advised pupils of Leuwibatu 02 State Primary School in Bogor Regency to study diligently in order to achieve their ambitions and secure a bright future. “Now the school is excellent, you must be more diligent in your studies,” said Minister Pratikno during an inspection of the school’s revitalisation in Bogor Regency, West Java, on Wednesday. He expressed satisfaction with the results of the primary school’s building renovation. “We are aware of the previous condition. And now, with the allocated budget, what was once a single storey has become two storeys. Previously there was no yard, now it has two yards, and the facilities are complete. This is extraordinary,” Pratikno stated. SDN Leuwibatu 02 in Bogor Regency received revitalisation aid funds amounting to Rp3.5 billion for the construction of a two-storey building featuring 12 new classrooms and toilets. “The budget disbursed by the government is Rp3.5 billion, with details for 12 new classrooms and toilets. The former SD Leuwibatu 02 and 03 have now been merged into Leuwibatu 02,” said Sudrajat, Headmaster of SDN Leuwibatu 02. Sudrajat expressed his gratitude for the revitalisation assistance provided to the school he leads. “I extend my utmost thanks, especially to the President, for building our school, which was previously unfit for purpose and is now fit. Where there was once no yard, children can now play and move freely to the field. In the past, even urinating was done in the garden. Now there are toilets, alhamdulillah. We are very grateful, Sir, for those of us in remote areas. Desks and chairs, alhamdulillah, are also all complete,” he said. During the school revitalisation inspection, Minister Pratikno was accompanied by Minister of Primary and Secondary Education Abdul Mu’ti. In addition to inspecting the revitalised SD Negeri Leuwibatu 02, Minister Pratikno also reviewed the renovation of two other schools, namely Madrasah Tsanawiyah Negeri Kota Bogor and Sekolah Dasar Negeri Cimahpar 5 Bogor. The educational unit revitalisation programme is a Quick Best Results Programme, a priority initiative of President Prabowo Subianto mandated through Presidential Instruction Number 7 of 2025. This programme focuses on accelerating the rehabilitation, repair, and construction of school and madrasah infrastructure to create safe, comfortable, and quality learning environments.
