Bogor Police has launched a vehicle storage programme at police stations within its jurisdiction for residents intending to travel during mudik. The initiative is designed to minimise motorcycle theft.

“This service is available for all segments of society who plan to take holidays or return to their hometowns,” said Bogor Police Chief AKBP Wikha Ardilestanto on Monday (9 March 2026).

Ardilestanto stated that residents can store vehicles at the Bogor Police Headquarters (Mako Polres). Additionally, vehicles can be stored at district police stations (Polsek) throughout the jurisdiction.

“To access this service, residents only need to complete very simple administrative requirements as proof of lawful ownership,” he explained.

The required administrative documents are:

  • Photocopy of the vehicle owner’s ID card (KTP)

  • Photocopy of the vehicle’s registration certificate (STNK) or ownership document (BPKB)

“We want Bogor residents to return home safely, with happy families, secure vehicles, and joyful hearts,” he added.

The vehicle storage service is provided free of charge. He urged residents to utilise the service.

“Considering that parking space capacity at each police station is limited, by storing vehicles at police offices, we hope to minimise the risk of vehicle loss or damage due to being left unattended for extended periods,” he concluded.
