Bogor Regency (ANTARA) - Bogor Regent Rudy Susmanto has urged the public to actively participate in reporting the circulation of narcotics and prohibited drugs in the region, in order to expedite the uncovering of networks down to their roots. Speaking in Cibinong on Thursday, Rudy Susmanto said that the community is asked not only to discuss issues on social media but also to provide complete information to law enforcement authorities. “We hope the public will promptly provide clear information, from locations and shop names to the parties involved, so that it can be followed up immediately,” he stated. He emphasised that the local government, together with the police, the National Narcotics Agency, the Civil Service Police Unit, and the Health Department, is ready to act quickly upon receiving valid reports from the public. According to him, eradicating narcotics requires collaboration from all parties to comprehensively uncover distribution networks. Rudy also noted that the recent surge in discussions over the past few days could serve as momentum to expand information regarding allegations of the circulation of prohibited drugs in Bogor Regency. The issue has emerged alongside circulating information on social media about the alleged appointment of Rudy Susmanto as patron of a certain media outlet. That media outlet has also been linked to suspicions of involvement by a journalist in the distribution or backing of prohibited drugs. Regarding this, Rudy affirmed that he has no connection to the media or the parties mentioned in the issue. “I assure you there has been no official or unofficial request for me to become the patron of that media,” he said.
