Bogor, West Java (ANTARA) – Bogor Regent Rudy Susmanto has pledged to provide the Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) with all the data it needs after being questioned as a witness in an investigation into alleged corruption within the Bogor regency government, West Java.

Speaking in Cibinong, Bogor, on Friday, Rudy said he supported the ongoing legal process and would provide KPK investigators with complete information and testimony.

“The Bogor Regency Government will, of course, support the process and provide the data and information required by the Corruption Eradication Commission,” Rudy said.

He stressed that the regency government respected the KPK’s investigation into a number of issues within the local administration.

According to Rudy, KPK investigators had sought information from several people in recent weeks, including him. He was questioned at Bogor Police Headquarters on Thursday (29 October).

“In recent days, and even over the past few weeks, several people have been asked to provide information, including me,” he said.

Rudy said the questioning concerned several matters involving the Regional Revenue Management Agency (Bappenda), the Education Office, several regional government agencies and other government programmes.

He declined to disclose the substance of the questioning, saying it was for the KPK to inform the public.

“I am not yet in a position to discuss the substance of the questions. I will leave that to the Corruption Eradication Commission’s spokesperson to explain,” he said.

Rudy said he would give truthful testimony and provide investigators with all relevant data to assist with the case. He also urged all parties to uphold the presumption of innocence and leave the handling of the case to law enforcement authorities.

“We will leave everything to the ongoing legal process, but development must not stop and public services must not be disrupted,” he said.

KPK spokesperson Budi Prasetyo earlier confirmed that investigators had questioned Rudy as a witness at Bogor Police Headquarters on Thursday (29 October).

Budi said the questioning was held in Bogor Regency because several other witnesses were also being interviewed there, making the process more efficient.

The KPK previously disclosed that it had seized Rp1.5 billion in August 2026 during an investigation into suspected corruption within the Bogor regency government. The inquiry was subsequently upgraded to a formal investigation under a general investigation warrant concerning alleged receipt of money by a state official, reportedly originating from deductions from collection fees at Bappenda.

Separately, the KPK is investigating alleged corruption in the procurement of goods and services at the Bogor Education Office.

As part of the investigations, the KPK searched the Bappenda and the Agency for Personnel and Human Resources Development (BKPSDM) offices on 27 August 2026, followed by the Education Office the next day.

The KPK has not announced any suspects in the case being handled under the general investigation warrant.
