Bogor Regent Organises Lebaran Bareng Wargi Celebration for Community
Bogor Regent Rudy Susmanto, together with the Bogor Regency Government, has prepared a series of special activities to celebrate Eid al-Fitr. Through the “Lebaran Bareng Wargi” programme, various events are being offered to the people of Bogor Regency.
“We want to ensure that all residents can experience the festive spirit of Eid al-Fitr in comfort, reverence, and full joy,” said Regent Rudy.
The activities include various events ranging from torch processions on takbir night, drum festivals, the performance of Eid prayers, an open house with Forkopimda (the forum for regional leaders), and a religious entertainment stage featuring singer Opick. Regent Rudy emphasised the Bogor Regency Government’s commitment to being present and providing the best service to the community, particularly during the meaningful occasion of Eid al-Fitr, which embodies the spirit of togetherness. “The government is here for the people,” he said.
This year’s Eid prayer will be held at Pakansari Stadium, as the Tegar Beriman Field, which is normally used, is currently undergoing renovation. “Pakansari Stadium is the best facility owned by Bogor Regency. This Eid occasion presents an opportunity for the stadium to be utilised not only for sports and entertainment, but also for religious activities and community gatherings.”
Following the Eid prayer, the activities will continue with a Forkopimda open house involving various regional leaders, including the Bogor Regency Government, Bogor Police, Regional Military Command 0621 Bogor Regency, Bogor Regency State Prosecutor’s Office, and religious elements such as the Indonesian Ulama Council (MUI) and the Ministry of Religious Affairs.
This open house is expected to serve as an opportunity for informal fellowship between regional leaders and the community, allowing residents to meet and shake hands directly in a warm atmosphere. “After the Eid prayer, the community can directly socialise with all regional leadership elements. This is a joint open house for all people of Bogor Regency.”
For this year’s celebration, the open house has been designed with a folk entertainment concept. In addition to seeking forgiveness (musafahah), the community will be treated to religious songs from Opick, various children’s games, a 360-degree video experience, and an activity involving scattering one hundred balls onto the field to add to the festive atmosphere.
The Bogor Regency Government has also prepared various offerings for the community, ranging from main courses and snacks to various traditional cakes, totalling approximately 7,500 portions, and is providing 20 free food carts from Bogor Regency SMEs that can be enjoyed by the community.
The Bogor Regent also appealed to civil servants (ASN) to celebrate Eid with their families, particularly those who have plans to return to their hometowns, as Eid is a sacred moment for family gatherings. For community members who have the opportunity, they are encouraged to attend and join in the festivities as a form of unity.
“We want this Eid occasion to become a gathering of the government, Forkopimda, religious scholars, and all people of Bogor Regency,” he said.
Through the “Lebaran Bareng Wargi” programme, the Bogor Regent invites all community members to perform Eid prayers together at Pakansari Stadium and to continue with informal socialising in an atmosphere of warmth and brotherhood. “Let us welcome the Day of Victory with a spirit of togetherness, filled with gratitude, and strengthening unity amongst the people of Bogor Regency.”
