Bogor Regent Issues Circular Banning Civil Servants from Requesting Holiday Bonuses from Business Owners
Bogor Regent Rudy Susmanto has prohibited civil servants in his administration from using official vehicles for personal travel during the Lebaran holiday period. Susmanto emphasised the ban on Bogor civil servants using state facilities for personal purposes.
“We have also sent circulars to all regional work units down to district and village level regarding the prohibition on using official red-plated vehicles for homecoming trips. We urge all civil servants not to use state facilities for personal interests, including Lebaran travel,” said Rudy, quoted on Monday (9 March 2026).
The Bogor Regency Government has issued a Circular Letter (SE) Number 100.3.4.2/165-INSPEKTORAT on the Prevention of Corruption and Control of Gratification Related to Eid celebrations. This is to maintain integrity and prevent corrupt practices during Eid al-Fitr.
“Certainly, we want during the holy month of Ramadan and welcoming Eid al-Fitr, the government truly to be present in a healthy state. We do not want good intentions, only to end up being damaged by one or two incidents that undermine our 30 days of fasting worship,” he stated.
One of the prohibitions is receiving gratification in any form. Gratification related to one’s position and contrary to one’s obligations.
“The prohibition on requesting funds or gifts such as Year-End Bonuses (THR), whether individually or on behalf of an institution, from the public and business actors,” he said.
He stated that civil servants who receive gratification are obliged to report to the Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK). Reports must be submitted within 30 working days.
“And the prohibition on distributing food hampers, gratification in the form of food or beverages that are easily perishable. It is recommended that these be distributed as social assistance to orphanages or those in need,” he added.
“Whilst still reporting it to the Bogor Regency Inspectorate as the Gratification Control Unit (UPG) accompanied by explanations and documentation of the delivery, which the UPG will then report the recapitulation of such receipts to the KPK,” he continued.
