INFO TEMPO - The Regent of Bogor, Rudy Susmanto, stated that he will manage Regional-Owned Enterprises (BUMD) professionally, with a focus on increasing profits and providing tangible benefits to the community. This was conveyed at the General Meeting of Shareholders (RUPS) of four BUMD of the Bogor Regency Government, at the Horison Sayaga Hotel, Cibinong, Wednesday, February 25, 2026.

In the forum, Rudy emphasized the importance of cooperation, thorough evaluation, and a shared vision between the local government and the board of commissioners and directors. According to him, BUMD should be the locomotive of regional development, not just a complement to the government structure.

“The government’s profit is not just about dividends, but how the community benefits. BUMD must be profitable and must have an impact,” said Rudy.

Rudy ensured that the management of BUMD under his leadership would not be influenced by political interests. He emphasized that the evaluation of the positions of commissioners and directors would be carried out objectively based on performance.

According to him, officials whose terms of office have expired still have the opportunity to be extended if they show positive achievements. Meanwhile, vacant positions will be filled immediately through the Selection Committee (Pansel) mechanism.

“Business needs trust and togetherness. We are not looking for mistakes, but fixing things together,” he said.

Rudy targets that starting in 2026, the profit trend of all BUMD must increase significantly. He said that the 2025 performance was a good initial foundation because all BUMD recorded no losses.

Several strategic steps being prepared include strengthening the tourism sector and hajj services through the development of hotels and optimizing the potential of regional device training activities as an internal market. In addition, the regional banking sector is also encouraged to be more aggressive in taking opportunities, including financing housing for civil servants and government contract workers with affordable schemes.

In order to strengthen governance, the Bogor Regency Government will also appoint a Public Accounting Firm (KAP) to conduct a thorough audit. Rudy said that this step was not to find fault, but to ensure transparency and improve the management system.

“We want to see it as a whole. If there are shortcomings, we will fix them together,” he said.

Rudy hopes that all BUMD elements have the same mindset in building regional companies. He invited all parties to leave differences and focus on strengthening the business. “If there is something that needs to be fixed, we will fix it. There is no need to replace everything if it can still be fixed. The important thing is to move forward together,” he said.

With this commitment, the Bogor Regency Government is optimistic that BUMD can grow healthier, be more competitive, and provide maximum contributions to development and community welfare. The RUPS was also attended virtually by the Head of the Bureau of BUMD, Investment and Development Administration of West Java Province, the commissioners, directors, and shareholders, representatives of Bank BJB of West Java Province, and the ranks of the Bogor Regency Government.
