Bogor Regent Collaborates to Form Anti-Drug Task Force
Bogor Regent Rudy Susmanto has collaborated with the National Narcotics Agency (BNN) Bogor Regency, the Regional Leadership Coordination Forum (Forkopimda), and the Bogor Food and Drug Supervisory Agency (Balai POM) to form an integrated task force for eradicating narcotics and prohibited drugs. This integrated task force will operate extensively down to the sub-district, village, and urban village levels.
“There is no room for drugs in Bogor Regency. We are moving together, simultaneously, from the regency level to the villages to eradicate them root and branch,” said Regent Rudy during the coordination meeting on the Prevention and Eradication of Drug Abuse and Illicit Trafficking (P4GN) held at the Regent’s Pendopo on Thursday, 2 April 2026.
This firm step is part of efforts to safeguard the region’s future by protecting the younger generation from the threat of drugs and the misuse of dangerous medicines. Cross-sectoral synergy is the key. The Bogor Regency Government, together with Forkopimda, law enforcement agencies, and BNN Bogor Regency, is strengthening preventive measures as well as enforcement in the field.
The involvement of youth groups, the education sector, health workers, and religious figures is also being reinforced as the front line in prevention. The Bogor Regency Government is also encouraging active public participation to break the chain of drug distribution. “Report if there are indications of distribution. We guarantee the reporter’s identity is safe. This is a collective struggle to save the younger generation,” said Regent Rudy.
Head of BNN Bogor Regency, Police Commissioner Anggun Cahyono, assured the readiness of all parties to support the movement. “We, along with all elements, are ready to work to the maximum. Drug eradication will be carried out massively, measurably, and reaching the lowest levels to realise a drug-free Bogor Regency,” he said.
Head of Balai POM Bogor, Jeffeta Pradeko Putra, highlighted the dangers of the circulation of illegal drugs that are often misused and have serious impacts on public safety. According to him, the circulation of illegal drugs and the misuse of certain medicines is already very concerning. “This is not just a legal violation, but a real threat to public safety, especially the younger generation,” he said. According to Jeffeta, what is being done is solely to protect families and the future of children.
He also emphasised the importance of strengthening cross-sectoral coordination so that handling runs in an integrated and effective manner. “We encourage the strengthening of regulations and inter-agency cooperation so that food and drug supervision can run optimally and in line with drug eradication efforts.”
