Bogor Regent Calls for Nuzulul Quran Momentum to Strengthen Faith

The Regent of Bogor, Rudy Susmanto, conveyed important messages to residents whilst attending the Nuzulul Quran commemoration combined with the Penyejuk Hati Islamic Discourse at Baitul Faizin Mosque on Saturday, 7 March 2026. Rudy invited all residents of Bogor Regency to make the Nuzulul Quran momentum a reminder to strengthen their faith and reinforce Islamic values, particularly during the sacred month of Ramadan.

According to him, Ramadan is an opportune time for self-improvement, increasing worship, and strengthening brotherhood and community cohesion among residents. “This Nuzulul Quran momentum serves as a reminder for us all to enhance our Islamic spirituality, strengthen brotherhood, and maintain harmony within Bogor Regency’s community,” Rudy stated.

Through this Nuzulul Quran commemoration, Rudy hopes that Quranic values will be increasingly practised in daily life and will strengthen community solidarity and social concern among residents. Additionally, Rudy also appealed to residents planning to return to their hometowns for Eid celebrations to report their travel plans to their local neighbourhood leaders (RT and RW).

This measure is intended to maintain neighbourhood security whilst homes are unoccupied. He also invited residents to collectively maintain regional conduciveness throughout Ramadan until the Eid al-Fitr celebration, so that an atmosphere of togetherness and tranquillity can be experienced by all residents.

During this event, the Bogor Regency Government distributed 4,000 Qurans through an endowment programme for distribution to mosques throughout Bogor Regency, with an additional 2,000 Qurans contributed by the Bogor Regional Police.
