Bogor Regent Appoints New Officials, Pushes for Improved Performance and Public Service
Bogor Regent Rudy Susmanto inaugurated and swore in 30 officials within the Bogor Regency Government on Friday, 19 June 2026. The officials consist of high-ranking pratama officials, administrators, supervisors, and two functional officials. Rudy stated that rotation, mutation, and promotion are part of organisational dynamics, aimed at improving government performance while filling vacant positions. “Organisational refreshment is a normal practice. Besides filling vacant posts, we want to ensure the wheels of government run more optimally and public services improve,” Rudy said. The Bogor Regency Government is currently preparing a more open and competitive mechanism for filling positions. In the near future, the administration will conduct an open bidding and assessment process not only for high-ranking pratama positions but also for administrator and supervisory roles across various regional apparatuses. He said this step is taken to recruit the best apparatus who possess competence, integrity, and leadership capacity. “We are confident that among the more than 40,000 state civil apparatus serving in Bogor Regency, whether in sub-districts, villages, or technical implementation units, many have extraordinary potential. Through this assessment and open bidding, we aim to find the best talents to be placed in the right positions,” he stated. Rudy Susmanto also advised the newly appointed officials to quickly adapt to their new duties and responsibilities and to deliver optimal performance in serving the public. He emphasised that officials who demonstrate achievement, integrity, and high dedication will have greater opportunities to occupy strategic positions in the future. The Regent called on all apparatus to carry out their mandate with full integrity, responsibility, and dedication to realise higher quality public services for the people of Bogor Regency. On the same occasion, Rudy conveyed the Bogor Regency Government’s readiness to face the dry season. Various anticipatory measures have been prepared, including the normalisation of irrigation channels serving around 800 hectares of agricultural land in Tanjungsari District and the preparation of several water sources to anticipate drought. The Bogor Regency Government is also collaborating with the Indonesian National Armed Forces, the Indonesian National Police, and community groups to maintain water availability for the agricultural and fisheries sectors. “We want to ensure that all agricultural and fisheries activities in Bogor Regency continue to run well despite the dry season. Therefore, we have been taking various anticipatory steps from an early stage,” Rudy said.
