Bogor Regency Secures Record 6,396 Housing Aid Units for 2026

Bogor Regent Rudy Susmanto announced that Bogor Regency, West Java, has made history by securing a minimum allocation of 6,396 units of Self-Help Housing Stimulant Assistance (BSPS) from the Ministry of Housing and Settlement Areas (PKP) for 2026. The statement was made in Bogor on Friday following a meeting with Minister of PKP Maruarar Sirait at the ministry’s office in Jakarta to discuss the implementation of housing programmes in Bogor Regency. “This is a new history for Bogor Regency. We received assistance for the construction of uninhabitable houses or BSPS of at least 6,396 houses,” said Rudy. He stated that the allocation serves as encouragement for the Bogor Regency Government to continue improving services to the community, particularly in providing liveable housing. According to Rudy, Bogor Regency is the most populous regency in Indonesia. Based on data from the Central Statistics Agency (BPS), the population of Bogor Regency reaches approximately 5.7 million people, while based on the National Single Social and Economic Data (DTSEN) it is around 6.19 million people. This condition, he said, means the need for liveable housing in Bogor Regency remains very large, necessitating support from the central government. Rudy appreciated the support from the Ministry of PKP, which increased the BSPS allocation for Bogor Regency. He also welcomed the opportunity for an additional quota conveyed by the Minister following an evaluation of the programme’s implementation. “The Minister also has a plan to increase the allocation. We will see how the evaluation goes in the future, but this is an encouragement for us to continue serving the community,” he said. Meanwhile, Minister of PKP Maruarar Sirait said the government would study the possibility of increasing the BSPS allocation for Bogor Regency if the programme implementation proceeds according to target. “If it is ready, we still have allocation,” said Maruarar. In addition to discussing the BSPS programme, Maruarar also plans to visit Bogor Regency in October 2026 to review the housing sector and encourage the strengthening of the housing ecosystem involving MSMEs, contractors, and developers.
