Bogor Regency Secures Record 6,396 Housing Aid Units for 2026
Bogor Regent Rudy Susmanto said Bogor Regency, West Java, has made history by securing an allocation of at least 6,396 units of Self-Help Housing Stimulant Assistance (BSPS) from the Ministry of Housing and Settlement Areas (PKP) in 2026.
Rudy conveyed the statement in remarks received by Antara in Bogor on Friday, after meeting Minister of Housing and Settlement Areas Maruarar Sirait at the ministry’s office in Jakarta on Friday evening (24/7) to discuss the implementation of the housing programme in Bogor Regency. “This is a new chapter in Bogor Regency’s history. We are receiving assistance for the construction of uninhabitable homes, or BSPS, totalling at least 6,396 houses,” Rudy said.
He said the allocation serves as encouragement for the Bogor Regency Government to continue improving services to the public, particularly in providing habitable housing.
According to Rudy, Bogor Regency is the most populous regency in Indonesia. Data from Statistics Indonesia (BPS) puts the regency’s population at around 5.7 million, while the National Socio-Economic Single Data (DTSEN) records approximately 6.19 million.
He said this condition means demand for habitable housing in Bogor Regency remains very high, requiring support from the central government. Rudy expressed appreciation for the PKP Ministry’s support in increasing the BSPS allocation for Bogor Regency. He also welcomed the possibility of additional quota raised by the minister, subject to evaluation of the programme’s implementation.
“Earlier, the minister also mentioned plans to increase the allocation. Of course, we will see how the evaluation turns out, but this is a source of motivation for us to keep serving the public,” he said.
Meanwhile, Minister of Housing and Settlement Areas Maruarar Sirait said the government would study the possibility of adding to Bogor Regency’s BSPS allocation if the programme is implemented on target.
“If they are indeed ready, we still have allocation available,” Maruarar said.
Beyond the BSPS programme, Maruarar also plans to visit Bogor Regency in October 2026 to review the housing sector and encourage strengthening of the housing ecosystem involving micro, small and medium enterprises (UMKM), contractors and developers.
Synergy between the central government, regional governments, village governments and public participation is key to ensuring the programme delivers tangible benefits to residents.
