Bogor Regency Opens Recruitment for Tirta Kahuripan Board of Directors

The Bogor Regency Government, West Java, is offering wide opportunities for professionals to participate in the open selection for three director positions at Perumda Air Minum Tirta Kahuripan in October 2026.

Bogor Regent Rudy Susmanto stated in Cibinong on Thursday that the selection will be conducted following the expiration of the terms of three directors—the President Director, General Director, and Operational Director—on 30 September 2026.

“We have signed the dismissal letters. They are being dismissed not due to disciplinary issues, but because their terms of office have ended,” said Rudy.

According to him, the Bogor Regency Government chose not to immediately extend the terms of the current directors to ensure that the determination of the next board is conducted objectively and transparently.

The Regency Government aims to begin the selection process in October 202lar with the formation of a selection committee. The opportunity is also open to the current directors to compete again.

“We want many people from Bogor Regency who possess the capability and potential to participate, and we are also opening space for former officials to re-enter the selection process openly,” he added.

While the definitive director positions remain vacant, the Bogor Regency Government has appointed two of the three Supervisory Board members of Perumda Air Minum Tirta Kahuripan as Acting Officers (Plt).

Rudy explained that this interim leadership period is limited to a maximum of six months. Alongside the selection process, the Bogor Regency Government will engage a team of consultants to evaluate the company’s condition, including conducting audits across all branches.

This evaluation is intended to map out challenges and development potential, as the Bogor Regency Government aims to increase water service coverage, which Rudy noted is currently around 30 per cent.

“By 2027, for one of our regional water companies, we want the service to the community, which is currently almost 30 per cent, to increase significantly,” he said.

Rudy mentioned that there are at least three criteria expected of director candidates: a commitment to Bogor Regency, an understanding of the company’s core business, and a business development concept.

“First, they must care for Bogor. Second, they must understand the core business. Third, they must have a business development concept related to the various business objects owned by the regional-owned enterprise,” Rudy stated.

The Bogor Regency Regional Secretary and Chairman of the Supervisory Board of Perumda Air Minum Tirta Kahuripan, Ajat Rochmat Jatnika, explained that two members of the supervisory board have been tasked as Acting Officers to fill the three vacant director positions.

“Three directors are being managed by two members of the Supervisory Board as Acting Officers,” said Ajat.
