The Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) searched the Bogor Regency Education Office in West Java on Friday (28/8). KPK spokesperson Budi Prasetyo said the anti-corruption agency seized a number of documents related to procurement during the search.

“Related to procurement activities at the Bogor Regency Education Office,” he said in Jakarta on Friday (28/8).

The KPK searched the Bogor Regency Education Office to gather evidence in an alleged corruption case within the Bogor Regency Government.

“To help shed light on the case,” Budi said.

The KPK stressed that it did not conduct a sting operation in Bogor Regency. On 21 August 2026, the KPK confirmed that investigators had secured evidence in the form of Rp1.5 billion in cash as part of the investigation into alleged corruption within the Bogor Regency Government.

Budi said the alleged corruption case has now entered the formal investigation stage. Investigators have issued a general investigation warrant related to the alleged receipt of money by state officials in the Bogor Regency Government.

The money in question is suspected to have come from wage deductions at the Bogor Regency Regional Revenue Management Agency (Bappenda).

The KPK also revealed that investigators are now looking into allegations of other criminal offences, namely corruption in the procurement of goods and services within the Bogor Regency Government. On 27 August 2026, the KPK also searched Bappenda and the Bogor Regency Civil Service and Human Resources Development Agency (BKPSDM).
