Bogor Regency Council Prioritises 23 School Sites in Babakan Madang for 2027 Repair Plan
Bogor Regency DPRD Commission IV member Agus Salim has announced that 23 school sites in Babakan Madang sub-district, Bogor Regency, have been included in the repair plan for early 2027. The commitment focuses on improving educational facilities and infrastructure in the Babakan Madang area.
"I have proposed repairs at 23 school sites in the Babakan Madang area. Thankfully, proposals for the Bojong Koneng, Cijayanti and Kadumanggu areas have been included in the planning," Agus said during a Constituency I recess session of the Bogor Regency DPRD held at the Babakan Madang Sub-district Office hall.
Agus has devoted greater attention to school needs in Babakan Madang compared with other areas in his constituency. This is evidenced by the large number of school rehabilitation proposals in the area that have been successfully realised.
"I am highly focused on Babakan Madang. In Cibinong alone, not nearly as many have been realised, whereas in Babakan Madang we have already overseen the construction of dozens of schools," he said.
Agus also called on all stakeholders in education to forge collaborative partnerships. He noted that Rp 4 billion in Legislative Initiative Funds (Pokir) is ready to be allocated for the procurement of school furniture, including desks and chairs.
"My Pokir allocation of Rp 4 billion is ready to be disbursed for the procurement of learning support facilities. However, implementation will naturally be carried out in stages. I will promptly request the Education Agency to conduct accurate data collection so that the assistance reaches the right targets," he said.
He will also engage in intensive communication with the School Principals' Working Group (K3S) to determine priority scales. Agus expressed hope that proposals submitted during this year's recess can be realised in the 2027 fiscal year.
"God willing, we will prioritise them. Proposals that have not been accommodated this year will continue to be championed in subsequent periods until all educational facility needs in Babakan Madang are met," he said.
Meanwhile, Bogor Regency DPRD Commission III Secretary Muhammad Hasani reaffirmed his commitment to overseeing the planned construction of a New School Unit (USB) for State Junior Secondary School (SMPN) 2 Ciampea. He is targeting the school to begin operations in the 2026/2027 academic year.
"I have coordinated with the Curriculum Section Head regarding the construction plan for the SMPN 2 Ciampea USB. The need for a state school in that area is extremely pressing. It is high time Ciampea had additional educational facilities, which are planned to be located on a 1.2-hectare plot of public facility land in Cicadas Village," he said.
Hasani explained that land legality is no longer an obstacle, as the public facility assets have been formally transferred to the Regional Government's asset division. "The land is level and its status already belongs to the Regional Government. My focus now is on pushing for the site designation so that construction has a clear legal framework," he said.
