Bogor Regency Continues Spatial Planning from Parung to Babakanmadang
Bogor Regency (ANTARA) - The Bogor Regency Government, West Java, is continuing spatial planning in several locations within Bogor Regency, from the Parung area to Babakanmadang Subdistrict, as an effort to create a more orderly, safe, and comfortable environment for the community.
Bogor Regent Rudy Susmanto in Cibinong, West Java, on Monday, stated that the planning is not intended to evict traders, but rather to organise the areas to make them neater and more orderly, while also enhancing the quality of public facilities.
“This planning is not to evict traders, but to organise them to be neater and more orderly. In some locations, traders remain in their existing spots with facility improvements. Meanwhile, in certain points, we are reorganising with the provision of more suitable alternative locations,” said Rudy.
He explained that one concrete step has been taken in the Pasar Parung area, where street vendors are directed to occupy an area managed by PD Pasar Tohaga.
According to him, this step is carried out to create a more organised market environment while increasing comfort for both traders and buyers.
Rudy emphasised that all spatial planning efforts are a form of the government’s responsibility in managing taxes paid by the community, so the results must be felt in the form of decent public facilities.
He stated that the community has the right to good infrastructure, including adequate roads and well-organised public areas.
“We understand the community’s expectations for adequate infrastructure. Improvements are continuously being made gradually, considering the vastness of Bogor Regency, which consists of 40 subdistricts, 416 villages, and 19 urban villages, as well as a very large population,” he said.
Rudy also invited all elements of society to support the ongoing spatial planning and development programmes run by the local government.
According to him, the development challenges in Bogor Regency are quite significant, so support and collaboration from all parties are needed for the spatial planning to run optimally.
“We ask for support from all parties. The challenges faced are quite large, but with togetherness, we can realise a better Bogor Regency,” said Rudy.
