Bogor Regency Builds First Creative Hub in Former Cibinong Arts Building
The Bogor Regency Government in West Java is building its first creative industry space (creative hub) by utilising a former arts building in the Jalan Tegar Beriman area, Cibinong. Bogor Regent Rudy Susmanto in Cibinong on Thursday (9/7) stated that the construction of the creative hub, named Siliwangi Center, is targeted for completion by December 2026. βThe creative hub, which will also become a theatre performance venue, has passed the contract signing stage and is targeted for completion in December 2026,β said Rudy. The creative hub will also be equipped with a theatre performance venue to support arts and creative industry activities in Bogor Regency. Based on the construction work needs identification document from the Bogor Regency Tourism and Creative Economy Office, the construction of the Creative Hub-Siliwangi Center requires an estimated cost of Rp29.47 billion. The building is designed as a centre for collaboration, education, and creative economy development for creative industry players, artists, and communities. The construction is targeted to provide a representative creative hub infrastructure capable of supporting activities across various creative economy sub-sectors in Bogor Regency. This creative hub is the first facility of its kind owned by Bogor Regency and is expected to begin utilisation in 2027 after the first handover of works, or provisional hand over (PHO), at the end of 2026.
